Training Grant
The Chenango County Bureau of Fire has established a "Training Grant" for all county department members to use towards the cost of any Fire or EMS training class held at the New York State Fire Academy at Montour Falls, New York. It is comprised of credits that are awarded to the county, from the State of New York, based on the Fire Reports submitted by the county departments each year. The more departments that submit their reports to the state, the more credits we receive to put towards the grant..
To be eligible, you must be an active member of your department. You must produce a letter, signed by your Chief, stating this. Plus, your department must have submitted the previous years' BFIR's to New York State.
All applications should be turned into our office for review, at least 1 month prior to the start of the class.
